Day 28 What God Can Do Through Ordinary You

May 04, 2024

Scripture: Galatians 6:7-8 (TLB) Do not be misled; remember that you cannot ignore God and get away with it: a man will always reap just the kind of crop he sows!  If he sows to please his own wrong desires, he will be planting seeds of evil and will surely reap a harvest of spiritual decay and death; but if he plants the good things of the Spirit, he will reap the everlasting life that the Holy Spirit gives him.

Devotional: As we close out our week looking at the life of Samson, more than anything, his story reflects the truths contained in today’s passage. You will always reap what you sow- good or bad.

It’s a good time to ask yourself, “What am I sowing?” How are the day-to-day decisions that you make impacting your end game? Are you simply indulging in the things that feel good or make you happy in this moment? Or are you investing your time in things that matter for eternity?

These are important questions.

Like Samson, you can choose the things that lead to death, bondage, or suffering. Or you can choose things that lead to life – everlasting life.

What will you choose?

Reflect:

  • What changes might you need to make in your life to sow things that matter for eternity?
  • What commitments are you willing to make to do that?
