Prayer, Care & Support

Whatever you're facing, don't face it alone.

We provide pastoral care, prayer, marriage, divorce and grief support, addiction recovery, counseling resources―and more.

Call us at 712.276.5814 to explore these resources below. There's a season for everything, and we want to help guide you through.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:6-8

Crisis Care

If you've experienced a death in your family, lost a job, or something has happened that turned your world upside down, we are here to help.

For immediate assistance, please call 712-276-5814 x 2.  For after hours support, please follow the answering service prompts.

Hospital Visitations

If you have an unexpected or planned hospitalization and would like someone from Sunnybrook's Care Ministry team to support you, please contact the church at 712-276-5814.

Sometimes it can be helpful to talk with someone about spiritual questions, struggles in life, marriage matters, parenting challenges, grief/loss experiences and relationship issues. We are here to provide support. This support can include connecting with a non-licensed volunteer counselor from our Revive Counseling Ministry, which is a confidential, safe and a personal one-on-one ministry. It can also include referrals to local licensed or non-licensed Christian counselors for ongoing counseling.

For more information and to explore counseling support, please call 712-259-0387 to speak with Francine Holtzen or email her at

If you have experienced the death of a loved one and would like to contact us for bereavement support and services, please contact BJ Van Kalsbeek at 712-276-5814 x28 or email him at .
