Sunnybrook Residency Program

At Sunnybrook Church, we have seen God at work in and around us, continuously expanding our student and college ministry, and uniquely calling many young people to full-time ministry. We sense God’s invitation to join Him in His work by investing in the next generation of young leaders, fanning into flame the gifts God has given them and equipping them for the long run.

Our reasons for residency:
• Stewardship of God’s provision
• Investing in the future of the Church and God's Kingdom

Residency FAQ

What is it like to work on staff at Sunnybrook?
To be on staff at Sunnybrook is to be a part of a fun, fast-paced, and relationally driven team. Things, projects, and titles change often, so you will need to be adaptable. The pace is fast, so you will need to be able to work hard and manage time well. The staff is close and relationships are important – we aren’t just colleagues, but friends and family.
What qualities does it take to “win” on staff?
To ‘win’ on staff at Sunnybrook, one must pursue Jesus relentlessly. One needs to be willing to try new things AND fail. One must be willing to be a part of a team – there are no silos here. One must be willing to speak the hard truth in love. One must be willing to work hard.
Who will the resident report to?
The resident will report to the director of the ministry in which they are a resident.
Who will disciple/coach the resident?
The resident will be intentionally discipled and coached by Erich Erdman, Director of Family Ministry and College Ministry.

We have roots in the Reformed Church of America, but we are currently, and have been for the past 10 years, non-denominational.
