Scripture: Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Devotional: There have been many times in my own life when God simply did not make sense. And I’ve come to realize that, in those times, my finiteness and God’s infinite nature are colliding. He is all-knowing, I am limited in my knowledge and understanding. And so are you.
It’s in those times it’s so very helpful to be reminded that He has good plans. Good plans for your very best. No matter what difficulties you may be facing, God is faithful, He is constant, and He is Sovereign. And when we go to Him in prayer, it reminds us that we're not in control, and it keeps us close to Him who is.
